Intro to Blog

   As this is the first blog, some background information is called for.

   This website includes a blog. Okay, you already know that. What you may not know is that a blog is a typed word version of a vlog, namely, a vlog without the audio and video. You can provide your own audio by reading this blog out loud and you can provide your own video with your imagination.

   Blog subjects will be wide ranging, sort of like free range chickens. But there will be fences, sometimes called themes, to keep the chickens between the rails. Individual blog postings will be kept short via judicious use of words. For example, very seldom will I use the word very.

   The fenced in areas will include photography advice. A taste of photography advice: Don’t put your thumb in front of the phone camera lens unless you intend to photograph your thumb. And writing advice, such as: Avoid the use of “very.” Occasionally, I’ll include historical factoids related to the seasons. A moderate taste of a seasonal factoid: Christmas is in the air and the dulcet tones of “Christmas Don’t Be Late” by Alvin and the Chipmunks is heard throughout the land. Where are they now? Alvin was killed by a lawnmower in 1978. Alvin’s brothers were convicted of murder and conspiracy to commit murder in 1979.
